Went down to Singapore during the weekends to lepak, help Jacq settle in and to do a little Singapore scouting of my own.
Met up with Airin on Sat afternoon.. It was the only day she could hang out with us, as she had to fly off to Macau the next day. Had lunch at Bugis Junction’s MOS Burger (such a pity this franchise failed in Malaysia – the burgers are really quite yummy)…

Aizat (who was arriving much later at 730pm) was supposed to have a date with a certain special lady friend there – except that he barely has time to plan plus he doesn’t quite know his way around Singapore. We being such great friends, thus went to great lengths to organize and make sure his dinner was perfect.
Of course, the first on the list was actually locating a restaurant that had a good ambiance. And so we ended up reconnoitering Chijmes…

Checking out Chijmes from above

Ex-Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus – now a bustling shopping and restaurant hub.. pretty cool..
We walked and walked and walked and then we walked somemore..
Went all the way to Funan IT Mall, and then back all the way to Bugis to buy roses and chocolates for Aizat, and then back to Jacq’s room to prepare for dinner..

Although a little blur, I like this photo
That’s me on the left and Airin on the right

We then adjourned to Clark Quay for some nightlife, checked out a nightclub called Le Noir, and then visited a bigger club called Attica. Went all the way upstairs to ‘Attica Too’, a larger darker proper disco that spinned house. Impressions? Happening night life man, but packed with gwai lou expats, their gold digger asian partners, and lots of sarong party girls. No photos though..
Next day was even more walking and shopping. Good thing I’m a natural walker haha..

Aizat wearing a $2 dustbin on his head… How matching keke..

L-R : FoOie, Jacq & Aizat after our ultra spicy frog porridge dinner
Yeap.. we went back to the same place where we ate frog porridge approximately 1 year ago during Jacq’s convocation (and where I had an attack of CVS). This time though, I thoroughly enjoyed the food.
Me and Aizat took the midnight bus back to PJ – but little did I know that in less than 24 hours, I will soon be on another bus heading back down to Singapore. Now that is an entirely different story, and unfortunately, it isn’t mine to tell…
