Went with Faz and Pui Ling to catch Aliens vs Predator 2 : Requiem on Saturday morning.. 
. An extremely tired Faz fell asleep during the movie despite the seat shaking THX sound effects, Pui Ling spent the entire movie semi-covering her face to avoid seeing too much gore and scares, while I silently cheered deep inside whenever the Predator dispatched some of the annoyingly dumb humans.
Yes, this movie fails on many levels. It’s not a great horror/thriller, it’s got an amazingly lousy script, it’s got HORRIBLE actors, and most of all, its mostly pointless. But that’s the point – because this movie was made for one reason and one reason only – to appease the appetites of the numerous Aliens and Predator fanboys out there. And it does this pretty well (at least wayy better than AVP1 for sure).
Humans die like flies under the horde of aliens (pregnant women and kids aren’t spared), while there’s plenty of cool fights between them and the predator. If you can look past the lame ‘filler’ human moments, all you will have is just a mindless action filled gorefest and awesome predator technologies kicking large quantities of ‘not so terrifying’ aliens asses.. which honestly, isn’t such a bad thing at all.
*What I found EXTREMELY annoying is that the movie was rated 18SG, there was plenty of blood and violence, yet our censorship board had to butcher the film to cut out mere four letter words. Well censor THIS you numbnuts! FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!

4 Novels for the price of RM68.. what a bargain!
Did some shopping too – G2K had a major sale that I couldn’t ignore, so I ended up buying 4 working shirts for just under RM300. Not too bad. Drove to Amcorp after that to buy some books at bargain prices (I was already down to my last un-read novel) and to collect my BookXcess membership card hehehe… Pui Ling also ended up buying a book for herself too (Jenny Downham – Before I Die).. The premise is about a terminally ill 16 year old who wants to experience sex before she dies. Never before had such a short synopsis made me so keen in wanting to read a novel…
