Attended Project Bazooka’s July gig at Laundry Bar on Thursday (18.07.07).

First line up is of course what I initially came here for – TwoSidesToAStory – to catch them live before they go on a supposed long hiatus from the gig scene. Actually also because I sort of made a promise to William after missing their last gig lar
.

L-R : William (bass), Aie (drums), Eu Jin (vocals, guitars), Ben (guitars)

Met up with Raymond – my ex PGi colleague, who also came to lend some support.

Next up was Poseidon, but I was too busy chatting outside and didn’t take any photos. It was when Ocean of Fire came on, and the amazing guitar riffs.licks.scales from Kelvyn woke me up, and made me move back indoors. For a purely instrumental band with no vocals, they sure do one heckuva job getting the crowd to nodheads.tapfeet.bodybounce to the rhythm. If there was a moshpit, I’d have jumped in already
Quite surprised Kelvyn remembered me from a year ago when I met him in Penang during a MusicCanteen concert. “Foo Kok Keong!” he shouted – haha – of course ‘Kok Keong’ wasn’t around to complete the experience for all of us (I really do have a friend named Kok Keong for those of you who don’t know).

L-R : Kelvyn Yeang (lead guitars), Jonathan Scully (drums), Jonathan Chen (bass) & Chiat (rhythm guitars)

Am glad Jacq & Drew had fun especially after they decided to join me suddenly

Got to know Aizat through Jacq, a truly nice and funny guy that gave me bellyful of laughs that night
. If you’re reading this, it was nice to meet you dude.
It’s a great thing for Yuri and Khai Lee to be organizing these monthly gigs at Laundry, and giving bands a chance to expose their music there. Keep it up guys! Those of you who don’t realize that you – yes YOU – can actually enjoy attending these gigs – you don’t know what you’re missing out on. If you intend to change that and wanna go for the next one, drop me a line and you can come with me.. (girls preferred)

Thanks greatly for the brilliant blog;this is actually the words that keeps me awake with the day. I’ve been searching around for this web page after i learned about them from the colleague and was pleased after i found it after trying to find very long time. As being a avid blogger, I’m happy to see other people taking initivative and contributing to the city. Wanted to comment to exhibit my approval for the internet site as it’s quite energizing, and many bloggers don’t get appreciation they deserve. I am certain I’ll visit once again and can spread the term to my buddies. debt@collection.techniques” rel=”nofollow”>
