Hmm.. A slower weekend than most…
Saturday was spent entirely at Mage Cafe from the evening onwards with Ash & Roy. Place was packed later at night with not a single table to spare. Catan-ed a round with Henry as our 4th leg, learned how to play Illiad, and I Memoir 44-ed with Ash after Roy left.
The original plan was to only play for 2 hours, have dinner, and then all head separate ways (I was contemplating KL Sing Song Day 2 or Mia’s gig at Equatorial with Faz, Jacq and Andrew) – but somehow, it just didn’t happen.

Also bumped into a bunch of ex-Apiitians and my childhood cycling pal Cher Hung (Cherry).

Sunday was better
. Went to pick Iris up for lunch, and when she got into the car…
Iris : Why do you have that sticker in your car?
FoOie : Do you know what sticker that is?
Iris : Of course I do..
FoOie : Ahaha, what do you think it is?
Iris : It’s Jebsen & Jebsen Engineering.. My dad’s a director there.
FoOie : *stunned awhile*.. My mum works there!
The size of the world, and the realm of coincidences, never ceases to amaze me. Turns out that our parents have been good friends for yearrrss, and to think I’ve sat down for dinner with her parents before even knowing this.
We headed to 1U for lunch.

Fish & Co. Fish & Chips. I’ve not had it in almost a year, and I’ve been having some tremendous cravings for it. Its the best locally available fish and chips around in my opinion – if you’ve not had it, you HAVE to.

Then we decided to do the craziest of things – headed to Tbun to wow (World of Warcraft for the uninitiated). My FIRST ever foray into it (All my wowing friends would probably be elated to hear this). Was there for about 3 hours leveling up an Undead Warlock. Iris was offering me a paid account to play from home – its EVIL I tell you ahaha. The Dark Side is now tempting me like never before… The only thing stopping me is that I don’t have it installed on my com – but IF I ever get the CD from any of my friends – I’m a goner.
Met up with Andrea and Nic at Decanter in Damansara Heights for dinner. Had an ultra yummylicious breaded hainanese chicken chop. And then back to Andrea’s place to watch a DVD with Jacq and Woon Wai. General consensus decided on 88 Minutes.

The movie was about Jack Gramm (played by Al Pacino) – a forensic psychiatrist – who receives a call telling him that he has exactly 88 Minutes to live. And so it goes with him running all over the place trying to figure out who the culprit is – with all the suspicion and ‘fake’ tension built into the script to throw you off guard. Overall a mediocre show with a lot of really cheap thrills that did nothing but insult my intelligence. It was an ambitious plot, but the screenplay was pulled off really badly. Don’t waste your time on this one.
