Earlier in mid April, I went on a trip up to Langkawi with my entire family! It’s been awhile since there was a family trip of any sort, and this was something I was looking forward to. My dad used his underutilized Berjaya Time Share plan to secure 2 rooms at Berjaya Langkawi resort for free. I’ve been there twice prior, and it’s actually a pretty cool place to stay – chalet/rooms are located either at the beach side or further up in the hills amongst the jungle.. you even need a shuttle to pick you up from the rooms to get to the lobby.
We flew there via AirAsia, and rented a Nissan Sentra for us to get around. The first evening was spent relaxing by the beach, driving to Kuah Town’s ‘pasar malam’ for dinner and settling into our rooms for an early rest.

Early next morning, we rushed to Porto Malai for our island hopping trip!

Our first stop at an isolated beach with decently clear waters, and we immediately decided to jump in and get wet..

We then headed towards a small inlet where there were swarms of eagles and other birds dive bombing food in the area. The hawks were too fast and too distant for me to take any good photos there. We then moved towards the famous Pulau Dayang Bunting where there’s a natural freshwater lake to swim in (bathing here supposedly helps women get pregnant.. hmm..).

After our island hopping adventure, we stopped for some seafood lunch at a nearby Chinese restaurant, and then went on to check out the Telaga Tujuh waterfall near our resort. A short uphill trek led us to..

We even hiked up further to reach the top level of the waterfall (quite tiring) but was disappointed cause there was nothing much to see..

Dinner at the famous Phan Thai restaurant that is built on stilts over the seaside
3rd day, we got ready to ride the famous new cable car system up the Gunung Machinchang range. The cable car base was located at the new ‘Oriental Village’ which had a number of small shops and attractions..
How can I not carry Langkawi’s national mascot at least once? 
Someone’s idea of a stupid joke? 
Trust me when I say the following is one of the most IMPRESSIVE cable car rides I have ever taken. The view puts Genting’s cable car to shame, and it even beats the cable car I sat at the Blue Mountains, Sydney last year.

It was really a shame as those rainclouds rolled right over the top station and the mist started covering up all the views. We were lucky we came prepared though..
1. Ziet with his umbrella.. 2. and me with my poncho when it started pouring. When the rain didn’t stop, they chased us back down as they were planning to shut off the entire cable car system due to bad weather. It was really a waste as we couldn’t try the 3. cool suspension bridge (the whole thing is held up by just ONE pillar) due to possible lightning strikes. One good thing did come out of the rain however, as we managed to catch a wondrous 4. full length rainbow from above in the cable car!
We spent the rest of the evening driving to The Datai to check out the most expensive resort on Langkawi, and then visiting Mahathir’s famous ‘Langkawi Waterfall’ – the highest man-made waterfall in Malaysia. We then rushed back to Berjaya to ride the jetskis!

As it was getting darker, we went over to the pool to swim a bit more

And our last dinner there where we feasted on humongous tiger prawns, crabs and fish.
We left for KL via AirAsia again the next afternoon. Ahh, I always hate having to come home from a vacation like that and back to the drudgery of everyday life. But it was definitely great while it lasted

Have you aye thought anent the processes from which a book is passed before coming into your hands? It is not a stolid path to write down a book as well publishing it. Writing in itself is a crabbed job. So why not we tell on the obstacles and hurdles in the way of writing a book? Why dont we declaim on getting help from book writing software?

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about.
