Here are some of the random stuff I did during the last few days of October..
Visiting The Pavillion with Family

View from the main entrance. Heard from a friend that Esprit had pretty girls in short skirts and rollerblades handing out coupons earlier in the day.. Too bad I wasn’t there then

Yeah yeah.. I know I’m considered slow liao, since almost everyone else I know have already checked out the spanking new shopping complex in KL’s Golden Triangle. Went there for dinner though, and the food court is still under construction. For first impressions, its a pretty nice place.. quite uplcass too.

I’ve seen this in 2 other blogs already before this, but I thought the craze would have died down by now. Looks like I was wrong. And this was on a Sunday night somemore.. Gooo homme lar people. Don’t eat JCo Donuts won’t die wann..

Dropped by at Ichiban Boshi for a Japanese dinner.. it was my youngest brother’s pick since we haven’t spent him his birthday dinner yet (no birthday present either - must wait for him to finish SPM first)

Service was good, food wasn’t too bad either. At the same price range, it sure as hell beats Sushi King and Genki Sushi FLAT. Those two franchises have been slacking so much, I won’t be surprised to hear that their sales figures are taking a nice dive, especially with all these new upbeat quality centered sushi bars mushrooming everywhere.
Sunway Pyramid - New Wing with Airin
Was informed by Airin that she saw a hardcover edition of Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell for sale at only RM14.90 at Popular. I went ‘wtf‘, and decided to head down with her that night itself to see for myself (I’m a sucker for cheap good books).
Of course we also went jalan jalan lar to check out the new place. TGV Pyramid had a massive renovation .. it’s not even located on the same floor anymore. In fact, that TGV area where we’ve had soooo many memorable Gilagang gatherings 8 years ago is now completely unrecognizable!

Outside near the Lagoon entrance.
The connecting path had a very arabian feel to the entire design. It even had signboards called Marrakesh hanging around. Further investigation revealed that Marrakesh is actually one of the oldest and main cities in Morroco. Why they chose to label parts of Sunway Pyramid that - I have no idea. Someone please enlighten me.. It’s damn sad lar, First World in Genting has the Statue of Liberty (and other copies), our Golden Triangle has a Berjaya Times Square, and Sunway has an Egyptian Pyramid. Malaysia got NO identity wan…
We spent more than an hour at Pyramid’s New Wing Popular bookstore bookhunting. The bargain price was only for very few books - but it was real. On the same shelf, were another 2 different paperback editions of Jonathan Strange selling for RM36.50 upwards. Why the hardcover was going for so cheap, we have no idea. We wonder if it was some silly loss leader strategy, or they actually had a pricing error in their database. Maybe they didn’t want the books anymore.

No your eyes did not deceive you. I bought 2 copies of the Battletech Trilogy Omnibus. They were the last 2 haha. Planning to give one away to any one of my friends who loves Battletech.
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell - Hardcover 1st Edition - RM89.90 RM14.90
A Walk On The Darkside - Visions of Horror - RM29.50 RM4.90
Battletech - The Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy - RM33.95 RM4.90 each
Total spend? (plus 10% discount from my Popular Membership) - RM 26.64

Went to Starbucks, got coffee, and sat down to read.. Happiness.. ![]()
Newborn Kittens!

Back at my hometown in Terengganu during my grandpa’s funeral, Ching found two newborn kittens left in a box by their mummy (their mummy cat must have went to look for food). The kittens were hungry and squealing and hugging each other because they were cold and lonely and they were soo freaking adorable.

Blame Squiikivois for making me add/create words that adds to her vocutebulary. Heh.

And then this huge slimy shining lizard came out of nowhere..
