I’ve recently become hooked on a web based RPG game called Kingdom of Loathing - no thanks to Mr. Karan EmoD.
It’s dead funny, witty, filled with puns and satire and nonsense. It’s also very well crafted, polished, and has thousands of different items and monsters to discover. It’s designed to literally have an endless replay value, and can even be considered ‘massively multiplayer’ with a player based of 120,000 and its various inter-character interaction (in-game chat, messaging, setting up your own mall store, clan wars, PvP, etc). Best of all, it’s completely FREE!

The game doesn’t take very long to play. You’re given about 40 turns each day to use (an adventure/monster fight will usually take up 1 turn), so you’ll need to wait till the next day in order to continue your adventure. At least it doesn’t suck up your life, and you can forego playing for a few days and wait for your # of turns to accumulate before you trek off on a long journey..
