Saturday (11.08.07)
Tiring day at work, followed by a lazy afternoon and an evening session of some much needed shut-eye.
Fetched Jacq from Bangsar Village (where there was a Klue-Delicious gathering of sorts that I didn’t get to see) and a public streetside performance of Capoeira drummers and dancers. Headed to Andrea’s for a movie session.
Her place has a new set of La-Z-Boy Recliners! And man, I never knew chairs could get so comfortable - you recline the back and leg-rest simply by asserting a little strength with your body, then it just moulds itself to your preference.. you could even rock them if you wanted to…
We were supposed to watch Fracture - but I completely forgot to burn it, so we watched one of my older DVDs instead - Apocalypto.

It was a terrific movie. Extremely visceral, pure all out action, violent, gory, and riveting. Directed by Mel Gibson, it’s a fictional story set during the decline of the Mayan civilization, and it was acted out entirely by local unheard of actors in the Yucatec Mayan language. The cinematography was downright AMAZING. Jungle chase scenes like you’ve never seen before, massive rapids and waterfall shots. Sometimes horrifying, mostly adrenaline filled - this is one movie like no any other. Grab the DVD now if you haven’t yet seen this.
Friday (10.08.07)
*I hate the fact that I don’t have my camera with me!*
Else I could have taken a photo of Jacq and Andrea laughing till they had tears streaming down their face as we played Taboo at Jacqueline’s house.
Fooie : *looking at the Taboo card* I wanted to do this at Port Dickson!
Jason : Sunbathe?
Jacq : Watersports? Jetski? Parasail! (kaching!)
Jacq & Andrea : *spasmic laughter* after realizing that Jason actually thought I wanted to sunbathe at PD…
Bunch of us (me, Andrea, Nic/Anthony, Jacq, Jason, Caroline, Woon Wai) played 7 players Citadels before that. Anthony won that that game after taking over Nic (who had to leave earlier). We got beat by a Std 6 kid..
