It was a hectic Saturday, as I rushed down to SJMC to collect my previous day receipts, and ran between Carrefour and Cold Storage in Subang Parade to get ingredients for the BBQ at night.
Got caught in traffic on the way home, and spent another hour marinating the lamb. Grabbed my lunch and headed over to Khai’s place for a few rounds of Catan..

Karan was supposed to be here!
Then it was time to go over to Andrea’s place for the BBQ!
I arrived at about 7, but everyone’s stopped swimming already. I didn’t exactly have intentions to swim anyway
but having a reason to try my camera’s underwater feature for the first time would have been nice..
Once everyone’s showered, the burning begins!

The really convenient gas powered BBQ stove..

Nic-T : One smell of this, and your cough flu etc will be cured
It was a really small group compared to the previous bbqs we had before - there were only 7 of us. We had chicken wings, lamb, sausages, nuggets, capsicums, onions, mushrooms, potato salad, fries, buns, relish, mustard, mayonnaise, sauces and a whole carton of 100 plus to wash down the heat. Yum - burnt meat craving satisfied.

We’ve just finished our meal.. Thanks to Andrew for taking this shot
We then adjourned indoors to play Citadels. Nic T wasn’t feeling too well after the game, and went to sleep. Since there was 6 of us left, we continued with I’m The Boss.

Everyone played sooo competitively - it was a downright brutal match. The game (which usually finishes in less than 2 hours) lasted almost 5 hours instead!
Apparently, the strategy of ‘keeping quiet, don’t draw attention to yourself, hang onto your cards until the last moment and pretend to be blur while plotting world domination’ works - as proven quite successfully by our winner Jacq ![]()
I headed home reallly late (almost 5 am) when I really shouldn’t. This better be the last time..
